Aquatic: Freshwater
Lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams are all examples of freshwater biomes. Freshwater means that there is a very low amount of salt found in the water. A few animals that can be found in or around freshwater biomes are turtles, snakes, and fish.

4
Aquatic: Oceans
Oceans are large bodies of water that cover about 71% of the Earth's surface. Oceans have a very high amount of salt. Clams, crabs, whales, dolphins, sea anemones, sea stars, various fish, and octopuses can all be found in an ocean.

5
Grasslands ~ Savanna
Savannas are found in Africa, Australia, South America, and India. The savanna has two seasons, dry and rainy. During a year, the savanna receives approximately 30 to 40 inches of rain.

6
Animals that can be found living on a savanna are elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, kangaroos, and leopards.

7
Temperate Grasslands
Temperate grasslands are found in South Africa, Central North America, Argentina, and Uruguay. In a year, a temperate grassland receives approximately 20 to 35 inches of rainfall.

8
Temperate grasslands are home to zebras, rhinoceroses, wild horses, prairie dogs, deer, coyotes, foxes, and lions.
