It is said that one day a beautiful young girl named Medusa met a wonderful young man named Poseidon. But you see Poseidon was a god. Once they had met they decided that they were meant to be together. Though this angered Poseidon's immortal wife he continued to see Medusa.

One day they decided to meet in the most best place that a god and regular mortal could be together; the Parthenon. This was a building made to worship Athena. Athena was the goddess of wisdom in the myths. So they met inside the great building just after dawn.

But then a bright light appeared! It was Athena, and she was angered by the fact that they were meeting in a sacred place that was special to her. So she tried to curse Poseidon, but since he was more powerful then her she couldn't. But that did not stop her from cursing Medusa and turning her into a horrible monster so scary that when looked straight in the eyes will turn you to stone.
