Cindy Circle and Tina Triangle loved to go on adventures. They would explore mystical places and travel to lands that had never been seen before. Their imagination and love of discovery was far greater than that of any of their other 2D shaped friends.
3
After awhile of not being able to discover anything else in the Land of Length and Width they decided to try to discover a land so far away and mysterious it had only ever been mentioned in myths or fairy tales. If they finally found it they would have no idea what to expect. For some the unknown was scary but for Cindy Circle and Tina Triangle the unknown was a thing of unlimited possibilities.

4
Cindy Circle and Tina Triangle spent a few days mapping out a possible course to the new land. They were so excited when it was finally time to leave they barely paid any attention to everyone who doubted them or called them crazy for wanting to leave the land of Length and Width in the world of 2D shapes.

5
On their first day of travel Cindy Circle and Tina Triangle passed some of their friends on the way out of town. Most of their friends frowned upon their journey and doubted they would ever find a new land. However, a select view like Rob Rectangle and his wife Penny Pentagon showed their friends support and offered them well wishes as they passed by.
6

Goodbye everyone! See you in a few weeks.
7
The second and third days of their adventure passed fairly uneventfully but on the fourth day they ran into a drop off. Luckily they packed rope in their bag and after deciding walking around the drop off to the other side would take too long they choose to use the rope to lasso a post on the other side and swing like monkeys across the drop off.

Swing, Swing, Swing.
8
Swing, after swing, after swing finally allowed Cindy Circle and Tina Triangle to reach the other side of the drop. Unfortunately they had to use all of their rope to get across and need to go without any now. Hoping that they would not need rope again Tina Triangle and Cindy Circle continued on their journey to find a new land.

9
To pass the time as they continued on their way they decided to imagine the different things in the far away land. Tina Triangle thought of new colors, while Cindy Circle dreamed up completely new things including new shapes.

New Colors.
New Shapes.
10
As day after day passed Cindy Circle and Tina Triangle started to get bored with the same routine of their days. Wake up, travel, stop to rest, wake up, travel, stop to rest. Even with imaginations as big as theirs they didn’t know how much longer they could continue on their adventure without dieing of boredom. The days eventually started to run together causing them to have a hard time remembering how long they had been gone (they had been gone 9 days).
9 Days Later
11
Even though they were tired and impossibly bored they wanted to continue on their adventure to find the new land. No matter how difficult their journey the two friends would not give up. Suddenly they came upon something. Something new. Something unknown. Something mysterious.
They jumped up and down at the thought that they found the new land. Cindy Circle, always the dreamer, asked Tina Triangle, the realist, what she thought it was. Tina Triangle wished it was the new land but knew better than to get her hopes up. After a great debate over what they would call the new thing (an octagon) they realized that it was a sign that they were getting closer to the new land but were not there yet.
12

13
The excitement they felt after discovering an octagon only grew as they kept traveling. They now imagined even greater things to discover when they reached the new land. Cindy Circle imagined new shapes and even a new dimension! Tina Triangle imagined more practical things like more octagons of different size and color.

New Shapes.
New Dimensions.
More octagons.
