Anna and Rufus are always on the lookout for new clouds . Anna and her dog Rufus saw a funny shaped cloud on top of their house.They did some research and they found out that there are five main types of clouds. They are
*Stratus *Nimbostratus
*Cirrus *Cumulonimbus
*Cumulus *Leninticular(special type)

STRATUS
After Anna and Rufus were researching, they went outside to check out the clouds. They saw Stratus clouds. Stratus clouds are gray and flat, The clouds cover the whole sky. The clouds are 6,500 feet above sea level. If the weather is cold it will snow but if it is warm or hot it will rain. Anna told Rufus that it was a stratus cloud because it resembles fog that does not reach the ground. She went on to tell him it was like a zebra with stripes.

CIRRUS
The next day Anna and Rufus were looking out of their window and saw cirrus clouds. Cirrus clouds are thin and wispy, blown in high winds into long streamers like angels flying. They are mostly composed of ice. They are part of the high clouds group. They are 18,000 feet or more above sea level.

CUMULUS
While Rufus, and Anna were taking a walk they saw a figure of a dog in the clouds. they instantly thought it was cumulus clouds. Cumulus clouds are white and puffy, like cotton balls. they usually bring fair weather. They are in the low level cloud group ,cumulus clouds are 3,300 feet above sea level.
