Odysseus and his men were sailing to get home.

They landed on the island of Aeolus. Odysseus and his men liked it there. People were kind and they had lots of fun.

The God of the wind lived on the island. His name was Aeolus. When it was time for Odysseus to go home, Aeolus gave him a special bag.

In the bag were the winds to help Odysseus to get home on his ship. Aeolus told Odysseus to only let one wind out.

Odysseus opened the bag and let the West wind out. He and his men started to go home. The West wind helped them.

The men thought that the bag had gold in it. So when Odysseus went to sleep they took the bag and opened it. All the winds got out.
