This is Matt the Monkey. Matt's main source of income is as a cashier at Banana Republic.

Matt also receives unearned income from selling his banana phone and banana shoes.

Matt spends most of his money on bananas, the electrical bill, and rent for his apartment.

Matt created a spending plan, or budget, to manage the money he was spending.

This year, after tracking his income and expenses he saw that he had a greater income than expenses. With the extra money, he bought a hat and put the rest in a savings account.

Matt wanted to put his money in a safer place so looked into different types of depository institution. He decided on Bank of America because it is a commercial bank and it was the closest to his house.
