First of all Korea is divided into two countries. After World War II, Korea is divided into communist North Korea and anti-communist South Korea at a spot called the 38th parallel. Russia controls North Korea and the U.S. controls South Korea.

The war has made many people in Korea terrified and made the world concern about Korea because of the harsh war. South Korea were favored by the United States because of similar government and alliance.

While the United States favored South Korea, other communist countries such as Russia and China favored North Korea. To begin with Russia and United States are power countries that are enemies.

In June 25 1950, With permission from Russia, North Korea invades South Korea and continues on to the capital of Seoul. South Korea does not have a strong enough army to stop it.

With not enough army and the war happening so unexpectedly for South Korea, they had to come up with cruel ideas. South Korea had no choice but to involve it's innocent citizens to bloody war.

South Korea was also in lack of army because being worried that South Koreans will join the communists, President Syngman Rhee starts the Summer of Terror and got over 100,000 people killed.

However the United States didn't give up General Douglas MacArthur leads an invasion into South Korea at the city of Inchon. From there, the United Nations troops go to Seoul and take it back from North Korea. They gain victory over North Korea in Inchon even though they lost to them at Osan.
