One day Charlie and his pup, Ruff, were playing fireman in his room.

Charlie and Ruff loved playing fireman and rescuing anyone in need, whether it was a member of his family or one of his stuffed animals!

As they were playing, they heard a big scream!
AHHHHHHH!!!

Charlie and Ruff sprinted into action and went into the fire truck!

They zoomed into the dining room and saw that they had left their candle burning from earlier!
It had fallen over on top of Charlie's homework!

Ruff sprinted over to the kitchen and got a cup of water and ran it back over to Charlie. The water was thrown on the fire and put out!

The fire was put out and Charlie’s sister's doll was saved!
Thanks Ruff and Charlie!

Back in Charlie’s room, Ruff heard another cry for help coming from the kitchen!
AHHHHHHHHH!

Charlie and Ruff raced to the emergency, once again, and found Charlie’s mom.

Charlie went up to his mom and asked her why she was standing on a chair in the middle of the kitchen.

Charlie’s mom told him that she lost the battery for the smoke detector and didn't know where it went!
