Meeting Four Leaf
I know this may seem hard to believe, but it is true. Once I met a leprechaun. It all started when I was running in a valley. It got late, so I headed home. All of a sudden I saw something beautiful. It was a shiny black pot with expensive gold coins in it. As soon as I took one step forward, I saw a flash of green and black! I tried to make it out but it was scampering everywhere! I took another step forward then I heard an angry voice. It said, “ Ye robber, trying to take me beloved gold pot and me gold coins with it!” I tried to say something, but nothing came out of my mouth.

Finally, I managed to sputter, “ I’m very sorry, but I would like to know what you are.” “I be a leprechaun, me name is Four Leaf”, the leprechaun said. “Back to me gold pot,”he said, “Why did ye try take it? I need it!” I blurted out. Four Leaf said,“Hmm, give me three good reasons why ye deserve me treasure, then ye may have a small chance of getting me loot.” I thought and thought till I finally came up with one. “I think I have one reason,” I said. “Well spit it out!” He said.

The First Reason
I said, “ If you give me your pot of gold, I will make sure that I give you the biggest feast you would ever see in your entire life every single Saint Patrick’s Day. So big, it is bigger than five Thanksgiving feasts. Way more then you can eat. Turkey, beans, squash, potato, gravy, all you can think of, and more.” The leprechaun licked his lips when he heard this. I could see that he was hungry and shocked when I mentioned all the foods, especially when I said potato and gravy.

I knew that leprechauns loved potato and gravy. There was silence for a moment, I was about to ask him for his gold when all of a sudden he acted very stubborn and shouted, “Second reason!” I quietly sighed. I was hoping that would be enough. But I knew I needed to do more to get my hands on his beautiful, gleaming pot of thousands of expensive gold coins.

The Second Reason
“The second reason you need to give me your gold is if you do, I would build a leprechaun mansion for you. “Kitchen and all?” he asked. “Kitchen and all,” I said. “Really?” He asked, “Really.” I said. I said that because it looked like he was homeless and needed a home. “Hmm, I guess I could use a big mansion.” He said scratching his chin like he was thinking of something very, very important. “I guess that reason is okay." He lied. “But you still have to give me one more reason until I consider it” Four Leaf said.

This time I sighed too loudly and he heard it. “What was that?!” he snapped angrily. “Nothing!” I lied.“I knew I heard you sigh!” He growled. “No, that was probably just the wind.” I said. “I don’t trust you” he muttered still a little angry at me. After that, I didn’t sigh any more because I didn’t want him to think that I didn’t deserve his shiny gold coins.
