How do horses breathe? Horses breathe through their nostrils.When horses breathe they breathe in oxygen and excrete carbon dioxide. This is called the respiratory system.

Oxygen is a Factor in creating energy,which happens in the mitochondria. Your Brain and internal organs use energy. You also use energy when you move.

What happens when a horse breathes out? A horse excretes water and carbon dioxide. Which a tree then uses for photosynthesis. Then a tree excretes oxygen and glucose. And so on.

What is a horses passage of air? The oxygen goes into the Trachea first then through the left and right bronchi to the Main Bronchi. Then it makes its way to the Bronchiole and then finally to the Capillaries and Alveolus.

When a horse breaths its rib muscles and diaphragm contract and relax letting air in and out.
