RuffRuffRuff... ahem, there are many people in the world. With many people, come many questions. Religion is a system of beliefs that helps explain these questions and today, we will go through the 5 Great Religions

2

Hinduism
3
Hindus believe in one ultimate reality, this reality is represented by a concept, trimurti which are Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the destroyer

4
They also believe in a caste system, this system is handy with Samsara, which is rebirth, where those at the bottom of the pit rise to the top where they end up in moksha, which is heaven

Im a dog where do I go?
5
The Hindu text get their beleifs from the Vedas, these were earliest form of Hindu writing as they are Shruti, that which is heard. Vedas contain 4 mantras, Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda, and would expand into other literature such as the Upanishads

I cannot read Sanskrit
6

Hindu Temples are called Mandir, they are big shrines for Hindu deities and must be kept clean so guests are told to take off their shoes, The Mandir contains a great hall, and rooms dedicated to specific deities.
That's a tomb not a temple!!
7
Raksha Bandhan
Raksha Bandhan is a special Hindu tradition that commemorates the bond between brothers and sisters, in this festival, sisters give their brothers a rhaki and brothers promise to protect their sisters, along with some gifts.

WHAT THIS IS MY STORYBOOK!
8
Buddhism
9
Buddhist do not believe in God, but they do believe in maximum enlightenment, known as Nirvana. To get this they must know the 3 marks of life which are:
-Nothing is permanent
-Life includes suffering
-No permanent identity

10
The Buddhist believe in one holy person known as the Buddha, he who is awake. Buddha has achieved enlightenment, and is regarded as god-like among buddhists

Enlightenment must be fun
11
Tripitakas
The most important literature in Buddhism is the Tripitakas, they are the first Buddhist scriptures, and are also known as the 3 baskets. The first teachings were written in leaves, which were stored in 3 different baskets

There is nothing in here

12
Buddhist places of worship is any altar that portrays Buddha, whether it is a statue, or a picture, any room with this is considered a Buddhist place of worship

Much better
13

Lets speed things up shall we
14
Judaism
15
Jewish people believe in one supreme God, reffered to as Yahweh

That's not Yahweh is it?
They also believe that Abraham is the father of Judaism. They also consider Moses to be the most important prophet in Judaism

16
Jews worship in synagogues, (synagog, Greek for assembly, thus house of assembly), also referred to as schul, (German for learn, house of learning). Synagogues have to be built facing Jerusalem, wherever it is in the world.

17
Jews follow the scroll of TORAH
This scroll shows how people should act and live, and shows governing laws that must be followed, such as kosher food laws

They should make a book about this
18
Pesach
Passover, or pesach, is an important jewish tradition celebrating the angel of death, passing over the houses with lambs blood. They celebrate pesach with a feast of dairy, lamb, and Elijah's cup with wine in it.

Is that dairy, beside meat!
