Chapter 1
What is the Health Triangle?
4
The health triangle is the three main elements of health. It includes physical, mental/emotional, and social.
All sides of the triangle are connected. If one is unbalanced, the whole triangle becomes uneven.
5
You need to take care of each side equally, and treat them all with the same importance.

6
Chapter 2
Physical Health
7
Your physical health is how your body is working and functioning.
If you are physically healthy, you have enough energy to carry out daily tasks, to deal with everyday stress, to resist diseases, and avoid injuries.
8

Being physically healthy can include getting enough sleep and rest, eating nutritious meals, drinking lots of water, and being active on a regular basis.
9
You also need to keep good hygiene, and make regular visits to the dentist and doctor.
Be careful with what you put into your body, as well. Drugs and alcohol are harmful to the body.
10
You should be physically active on a daily basis. You should mix leisurely exercise and structured exercise.

11
Chapter 3
Mental/Emotional Health
12
Your mental/emotional health includes how you feel about yourself, how well you can meet daily life's demands, and how well you can process information.
People with good mental/emotional health usually enjoy challenges, and see their mistakes as opportunities to grow as a person. They also take responsibility for themselves and stand up for what they believe in.
13
When you have good mental/emotional health, you are in touch with your feelings, and can express them appropriately.

14
Frustrations shouldn't overwhelm you, and you shouldn't think negative things.
Staying positive and getting help if you need it contribute to good mental and emotional health. Being well-rested also helps.
15
Being physically active and staying social are also factors in having good mental and emotional health.

16
Chapter 4
Social Health
17
How well you get along with others can measure your social health.

18
Your ability to make and keep friends is important to your social health. Being cooperative, and seeking/lending support are beneficial, as well.
19
Communicating well, showing respect, and taking care of yourself and others are all signs of good social health.

20
Social health can also be about how well you are able to adapt to different social situations, and act appropriately in the different settings.
Communication, empathy, and accountability are factors to consider with social health.
