Once upon a time, in a cold, northern town, during a very starry night, an angel was born.
In a charming, little house with a small barn in the back, lived The Kiowski family.
Mr.Cameron and
Mrs. Laura were well known in Kalamazoo, Michigan for their love of animals. They had two horses, three pigs, four cows, six chicken, two dogs, and a yellow striped cat! Love animals, they did!
August 26, 2013 was quite an unusual day in Kalamazoo.
You see, normally the days in August are still very warm, since summertime is coming to an end this time of year. Not today though.
"Brr!" shivered Mr. Cameron, as he rounded up the animals in the barn quickly as he could. "It's freezing!!" Rushing inside the house, he looked at the thermometer on the kitchen window. The mercury stopped at 29 Degrees! He quickly slammed the door, while calling out to Mrs. Laura, "Laura!!"
Mrs. Laura smiled , as she made her way from the living room to the kitchen with a white, fluffy, ball of fur in her arms.
"There have been stranger things..." she said, as she carefully handed him the fur ball.
"Dannielle, meet your father." Dannielle was an itty-bitty little pup! Mr. Cameron held her in the palm of his hand,
"Honey, meet the newest addition to our family, our little angel, Dannielle."
Just then, it began to snow. What a beautiful display of God's Love!
Dannielle was a rambunctious little pup, who loved to play.
She'd often go to the barn while Mr. Cameron tended the animals and help him. She was a very good helper.
One day one of the horses accidentally stepped on a nail.
It was oh, so, painful, but little Dannielle sat with the horse and prayed with her as Mrs. Laura helped Mr. Cameron pull the nail from the horse's hoof.
"You are special, Danni....you really are," the cow said to the little, white, puppy."
One afternoon Mrs. Laura received a phone call from a young gentleman in Providence, Rhode Island, saying he'd read abou this extraordinary, little, dog in a newspaper article.
He knew a family who was in need of just that- an affectionate, helpful, exceptional pup.
Though The Kiowski's loved her very much, they understood that perhaps it was time for Dannielle to help others. After talking it over and explaining it to Little Danni, they agreed to send her with this new family.
Pretty soon Dannielle was on her way to New England!!
Nervous about travelling alone, Danni began whimpering and shaking in her seat. Thankfully two very friendly young women sat on either side of her
Sister Faustina Kolbe and Sister Putri introduced themselves.
Sister Faustina, a kind young woman with blue eyes and rosy cheeks, held her paw.
"It's going to be okay little one! God is with us." These familiar words comforted Dannielle,
Mr. Cameron and Mrs. Laura would often say them to her when she was afraid.
Sister Putri took out a small, thick book filled with many pages.
"B-I-B-L-E." She read. "Hey, that is the same book my family in Michigan reads!" Dannielle exclaimed.
Miss Jen Ro, the cowgirl at the farm, taught her how unique and important this book was. Together they'd sing songs about Jesus while taking care of the cows and horses.
What started as a scary ride quickly changed. Dannielle and the sisters talked and even sang songs the entire flight!
Landing into New England, they both hugged the sweet little puppy good-bye.
Sister Putri gave her a pretty necklace with many beads and a wooden cross at the end. "It's a rosary, she whispered to her, "always keep it with you. God is with you," Sister Putri reminded.
As Dannielle was carried off the plane, she wondered what was in store for her.
Again, her nervousness began making her shake.
Jennifer, The flight attendant, brought her over to a young man with blue eyes and yellow hair, wearing a large smile on his face. Jennifer quickly exchanged "hello's" and papers with him,. The flight attendant gently placied the shaky, little, westie into his arms...
.
The young man spoke to Dannielle in a soft, sweet tone, hoping to calm her down.. He introduced himself as Stephen. On their drive to Providence from Boston he described the family whom he had been communicating with for the past three weeks.
"You will love the Ayala's. Don't you worry about a thing, Little Miss Dannielle! You were sent here with a purpose bigger than you would have ever have imagined!"
After driving for quite a while, they arrived at a building with many windows. It was surrounded by many tall, tall, birch trees.
Stephen scooped her into his arms and entered into the building. "We are here!"
"Woof, woof!! Ruff ruff!!" A known, distinctable sound rang through her ears..."Barking??"
Looking around Danni saw many dogs, but all sizes and colors. They came from all around the world,
Every puppy brought here for a specific family.
Stephen put her into the backroom near his office, away from the other doggies.
There she met a yorkie named Yoshi.
"Rest up Dannielle, tomorrow is the day you begin your new adventure!" Stephen turned the lights off and slowly closed the door. "Goodnight Dannielle and Yoshi."
