Ever since I was a little boy, I had a special talent of being able to run really fast.
My dad would say that I was as quick as lightning!
So I decided that I was going to use my lightning speed to race in the Olympic Games and represent my country….

I love my country because it is a beautiful island with beaches, warm sunshine and tropical fish. Everybody is happy in Jamaica.
I live with my family in a
little village called Runaway Bay.

When I turned 15, my dad said to me,
“C.J if you want to go to the Olympics one day and if you want to follow your dream, you will need to train really hard.”

So for 6 years, I trained hard, running, running and more running. I would run for
4 hours every day.
While my friends were all hanging out, I would be running and training. But this is what I had to do if I was going to train for the 2016
Rio Olympics.

In 2016, my dream started to come true. I was selected to run the 200 metre race in Rio, Brazil.
I was going to the Olympic Games!
