Introduction
Red pandas are small red raccoon like creatures. Though they are not raccoons, and despite having panda in their name they are not actually pandas. It's closest relatives are Skunks, weasels, badgers and otters.
Did you know?
Red pandas are often considered to be herbivores because of their love of plants, but sometimes they will eat insects and eggs, so some people believe they are omnivores.

Diet
The red panda's diet mostly consists of bamboo, though when the weather is warm they eat things like insects and fruit. Although the giant panda eats almost every part of the bamboo plant (except for the roots) the red panda only eats the youngest and most tender shoots and leaves.
