Once upon a time there was a boy named George. He wasn't just an ordinary boy. George had magical powers. These powers allowed George to travel back in time.

3
George was in his room and was getting ready to go to church. But before he left he wished to visit his favourite place, Egypt in 1301 BC.

5
George often visited a man called Moses. Moses was tall and strong but had no magical powers like George. Whenever George came to Egypt, Moses would tell the story of the Passover. The story always started like this....
6
7
Egypt in 1300 BC was full of lots of hard working Israelites, they were being treated like slaves, sometimes they were even whipped. They were working for the Pharaoh, he is like the King of Egypt.
8
9
God didn’t like the way the Israelites were being treated. He showed his anger through sending plagues. These plagues caused a lot of damage, though only to the Cruel Pharaoh and his people, the Egyptians.
10
11
On the night of the first Passover God became even angrier. So before the sun had set, as Moses had told them, the Israelites painted their doors with lamb’s blood, so that they would be safe from the plague of death, which took the first -born son of all the Egyptians.
12
13
Finally, the Pharaoh had enough. He ran berserkly through the streets of Egypt searching for Moses. “Go!” He yelled, “And take all the Israelites with you!”
14
15
“The time has come” Moses told all the Israelites, “grab your bags and get ready to leave at once!’.
The Israelites left Egypt with Moses, they had sacks on their backs, and faith in their hearts.
16
17
The pharaoh had changed his mind to just let them go freely, he sent the Egyptian army out to capture the Israelites.
18
19
The Israelites walked and walked until they reached a sea. They were trapped! And the army was chasing after them.
20
21
Moses hears God telling him to stretch his arms out over the waters, and all at once, the sea split! Into two! Like a miracle! The Israelites were able to walk in the middle of the sea on dry land.
