Petey the Panda’s life was good in China but then he got the news his dad got a new job in Gastonia. Petey has to go to a new school, and is very nervous, because he doesn’t know anyone there. Petey was as sad as a tree with no leaves.

Petey gets to school and doesn't know anybody. He sits in the corner alone waiting to go home.

Petey looks for a seat in the cafeteria, and asks to sit with a group of animals from his class.

The animals make fun of Petey for his clothes and his hair so he decides to go eat in the bathroom alone with tears in his eyes.

At the end of the day, Petey’s Mom picks him up from school and he tells her about how everyone is so mean to him and how he doesn’t want to go back.

I HATE SCHOOL!

The next two days are just like the first day and he continues to eat in the bathroom.

Hey, are you okay?

No!

Hey Petey come sit with us.

The next day Dylan the duck tells Petey to sit with him at lunch. He finally made a few friends.

Dylan invites Petey over to a playdate with a bunch of his friends at Dylan's house.
