Sammy was just a sedimentary rock, living in a forest. But he was tired of living in the forest. Sammy wanted adventure!

Sammy! Where are you going?

I'm off to find adventure, Mr. Ant! It's time for me to be a brand new rock and leave the forest behind.

My entire life, I've been a buildup of other kinds of rocks, all pressed together to make one big me. How boring! I'm going to become a new rock. I wonder what rock I will be if I go somewhere warm...

So Samy travelled to a warmer climate.

The more heat I feel, the more I will change! But this heat is making me feel tired, I think I need to sleep.

Sammy found some bedrock to sleep in. But the bedrock put a lot of pressure on Sammy, and combined with all this heat, Sammy began to change. He was a metamorphic rock!

But while he was sleeping, he kept getting buried deeper and deeper into the Earth.

Sammy got so hot that he melted into magma! But Sammy wasn't sure if he liked being magma, so he left underground and found himself at the top of a volcano.

That was fun, but I don't think I belong underground as a metamorphic rock, or underneath a volcano as magma. I think it's time to travel somewhere else.

So Sammy said goodbye to the volcano, and started on a new journey. The more he moved away from the heat of the volcano, the more he started to cool down.

Hey look at that! I just needed to cool off a little and now I feel great! I think I've changed into a new type of rock again. But what could I be?
