Aqueducts

The Romans constructed numerous aqueducts in order to bring water from often distant sources into cities, towns and farms. This helped farmers to plant their crops. And for civilians to get water

In Rome there were 3 main types of houses. There was a house called a domus. The domus was a big house owned by the wealthy. Another house was called a villa. A villa was a big country house also owned by the rich. Finally there were apartments which were owned by the less wealthy.

Roman food
Romans cooked in open hearths lined with bricks or stone. Romans ate light breakfasts which consisted of bread, cheese, and fruit. Typical lunches included salad, bread, and fruit. Dinner was the main meal. Common meats were lamb, poultry, fish, and pork which was the Romans favorite. Also they ate stews that mixed meat with vegetables. The usual dessert included nuts, fruit, pudding, cake, and other pastries
