Hi! My name is Kathryn and my boyfriend Jarred just proposed to me so we are going to start planning out wedding. This book will be the beginning of our life book.

Wedding Day

June 24, 2001

Our wedding day is today and we are both ecstatic to be together forever. I have my dress and veil and flowers I will put pictures here...

Newly Weds :)

We moved in together and we are figuring out who does what chores in the house. We are starting to settle into a rhythm that I think we are both fairly happy with. Money has been pretty tight since the wedding.

Of course living together makes up for the chores, we are absolutely in love with each other so this is a dream come true for us.

We pay rent every month, plus all of the utilities we shop for food 2 times a month and we try to save everything we can.

My mom told me that this is just a small part of our new life and it will change soon.

BIG NEWS 3/4/2002

We just welcomed our first addition to the family, a puppy! Her name is Bailey!

It Is Official

Me and Jarred are officially parents of a healthy baby boy! We welcomed Carsen Garret to the world on February 23, 2003. He weighed 7 lbs 6 ounces and was 22 inches long.

New Parents

We have to change feed love and pretty much give all of our attention to Carsen since his birth. All of our savings are gone now because of hospital bills. We never sleep anymore and tension has been high between us. We are worried about Carsen's health. On the plus side Carsen smiles at us a lot.

Expansion

Yesterday we welcomed our first baby girl to our growing family she was born on August 17, 2005. Kaitlynn Renee weighed 6 lbs 8 ounces and was 18 inches long. She seems healthy but we are concerned about her elongated stay in the hospital.

Jarred and I spend every penny on diapers, formula or some other baby or toddler item. we don't have time to spend together anymore but most days we are doing okay. We are just so happy to have 2 healthy babies at home with us.

Hopefully once our kids are grown they will take as much care of us that we gave to them!

The More the Merrier

November 23 , 2008

We welcomed the 3rd and hopefully last member of our family today. Sydney Marie was 8 lbs 2 ounces and 20 inches long. She is extremely healthy and coming home tomorrow.

Jarred got a promotion and a bonus at work so money is practically flowing. It is amazing to feel like we aren't living paycheck to paycheck. we put away most of the money in savings, but we have taken the kids out a few times because of the influx.

First day!!!

Carsen started his first year in high school, Kaitlynn is in 7th grade and Sydney is starting 4th grade! They are growing up so fast.

With all this extra time I went back to nursing school and have time and money to enjoy life. Life is amazing. the only issue is that with this new found freedom I am so bored. Jarred works most days but I only work short shifts at the hospital.

Today is Kaitlynn's first day of school in high school, my babies are growing up so fast.

Carsen has been working at a local place for a few months and he has been pretty good about keeping his grades up.

Me and Jarred have been discussing what we will do after Carsen leaves the house. he is 18 now and graduating next month. He is spending the summer in his new apartment and will start college in the fall. Kaitlynn is now a sophomore, and she has her first boyfriend like her real boyfriend, and Sydney is in 8th grade now.

Carsen left home this evening and it was the hardest thing to do even though he is only 3 hours drive from me. He decided to go to a small 4 year college and its not costing a ridiculous amount because of the scholarships he received

Leaving home....

One more....

Kaitlynn just told us that she is pregnant and about 3 months along. she is a senior and graduates in 4 months. she will be able to graduate high school but this changes all her plans for the future.

Kaitlynn welcomed Liam James on July 7, 2022

he was 5 lbs 2 ounces and 15 inches. he had to remain in the hospital for a week before being able to come home.

Sydney is furious now and threatens to move out if there is a crying baby in the house, distracting her from studying.

New wedding

Carsen and his fiance Juliana are preparing to marry on September 17, 2024. She is a wonderful person and will be a great addition to the family.

Sydney

Sydney has officially graduated and is leaving next week for Princeton, she is insanely smart and I couldn't be a prouder parent.

Kaitlynn and Liam

Liam is now 3 and a very rambunctious child, Kaitlynn is living at home still and doing online college classes to try and get her degree.

Carsen and Juliana

Carsen and Juliana have been happily married for a year now and are expecting a baby boy in late December.

My Empty Nest

Kaitlynn and Liam moved out last month.

I am planning my 50th birthday. I have almost been alive for half a century.

With the children all gone me and Jarred have time to focus on our relationship. we have both been working recently full time and with the investments we have made in the last 30 years we have hit 5 million in savings. The thing is the kids don't realize the amount we have saved for them. It has been getting more difficult to get around recently, my hips have been bad.
