To the amazing THMS STEM teachers


Once upon a time there was a young lad named Joe...
He wanted to learn about the characteristics of living things. So he went to a school called Thomas Harrison Middle School and to its STEM room.


He learned that there are 7 main characteristics that all organisms have.







The first is that All living organisms are made up of cells.

The second characteristic is that organisms sense and respond to a stimulus, for example when birds migrate south for the winter.

The third characteristic and that is that all living things reproduce and that there are 2 types of reproduction, these are Asexual reproduction and Sexual reproduction.

Asexual reproduction is when there is 1 parent produces an child identical to it.
Sexual reproduction is when 2 parents produce a child that is like both parents.
