Once upon a time, there was a princess named Laurel Manchester.

She lived in the Buffalonian Castle with her mom, dad, and little brother.

The Manchester family was happy.

Everyday Laurel would sneak out of the castle to be with Kayden Hale, a poor local boy, despite what her royal family would think of it.

Laurel felt all the anger building up inside her.

"I saw you sneaking around with that peasant boy Laurel," said her mother.

"You are not to see this commoner anymore; I already have picked your husband. He is tall, rich, and handsome," shouted her mother.

"You are so unfair; I love Kayden. I will not stop seeing him mother," Laurel shouted back.

"We'll see about that," the queen threatened.

The Queen left Laurel crying in her bedroom.

The queen and Laurel's future husband met secretly to arrange the marriage.

"You will marry my Laurel. Are we understood Prince Luke," asked the Queen intimidatingly.

"With honor," said Luke

As Queen Mariam and Prince Luke discussed the marriage, Laurel went out the window to go be with her true love.

She fled down the secret stairs on the side of the castle that led to a beautiful garden.

She checked to see if she was being watched.
