To my Michael: May these memories stay with you forever and bring a smile to your face whenever you think of them.

Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, ever since I was a little girl. As soon as Halloween is over, I am counting down the days. I love everything about it.

I love the smells of the season, especially cookies baking.
I love looking at all of the decorations
and the lights.
I love the magic of it all, and the
joy in all of the children's faces.

One of my most favorite things about Christmas though, is the traditions that I carry on with my family each and every year, for as long as I could remember. Now that I have a family of my own, we started our own tradition, which is cutting down our Christmas tree on the day after Thanksgiving.

Because of how excited I am about Christmas, all Thanksgiving dinner I would turn to my son Michael and ask,
" Are you as excited as Mommy is to go get our Christmas tree tomorrow?!"
Naturally he was excited, but definitely not as much as I was!!
The day finally came to get our tree, and I was beyond happy. I kept thinking about how much fun I had growing up doing these things. I think about those memories still, and they continue to put a smile on my face. I want the same thing for Michael.
"C'mon bud, time to get our jackets on!" I yelled from the kitchen to Michael.
After our jackets were on we ran to the car where my husband was already waiting for us.
"Jingle bell jingle bell jingle bell rock" Michael sang along to the song playing on the radio (his favorite Christmas song might I add).
We finally arrived to Fabulous Firs and got out of the car at lightening speed.
"Is this the Christmas tree farm mom!?"
"You betcha buddy! I replied to Michael.
We walked around for quite some time looking for the perfect tree, as was every other family there.
