Convection: hot, less dense material rises and cooler, more dense falls

Albedo: the proportion of the incident light or radiation that is reflected by a surface, typically that of a planet or moon.

Clouds help reflect a lot of the waves from the sun. The oceans also help by absorbing many of the waves.

It is colder on a mountain because it is closer to the atmosphere. The snow on the mountain also helps reflect the heat way.

Desert sand keeps in the heat better than anything else. But also when it is night the sand cools off.

Urban heat is caused by lots of roads keeping heat in. This is can be helped of we leave what is called green space. Green space is small parts of cities that have grass and trees.
