Lazy Sheep was excited. It was his first day at the 

new school.   "I can't wait to meet the other kids!" 

he said.

"I'm sure they'll love you," his mom said.

"Who's this new kid?" they whispered. "He has 

such a weird accent! He looks like a farmer 

from the countryside."

They didn't.

During recess, Lazy Sheep tried to play with 

the other sheep. They chased him away.

"You're so weird!" they shouted. "And you 

don't know anything! I bet you won't know 

what to do during the archery contest 

tomorrow."

Lazy Sheep was very sad. "I'll show them!" he 

said.

Like the smart sheep he was, he read many 

books and learned everything about archery.

Lazy Sheep won the archery contest. The other 

sheep were amazed.

"You're so cool and smart!" they said. "We're 

sorry we were so mean to you."

They had a party at one of the sheep's house to 

celebrate Lazy Sheep's victory in the contest...

...and their new friend.
