“Okay class, for this upcoming week you will be making a presentation to share with your classmates about your culture,” said Mrs. Brookbank.

Jhene was so excited, she volunteered to go first.

Jhene went home that night and started working on her project right away. She asked her mom to help her because she wanted to impress her teacher.

Jhene wanted to talk about the different cultures on both sides of her family, so she also asked her dad for help.

With the help of her parents, Jhene worked hard each night after school to make her project perfect.

The night before the big day, Jhene was so excited she couldn't fall asleep.

Jhene lay awake in her bed rehearsing the presentation in her head until she finally drifted off to sleep.

When Jhene woke up the next morning she jumped out of bed, hurried to get dressed, and ran downstairs because today was the big day.

After eating breakfast, Jhene's mom and dad wished her luck as she ran outside to catch the bus.
