There was a girl named Natalia who was looking for stress. Not the type of stress that homework, projects, and finals week gives you, but rather stress in Spanish words. She needed to know where the stress went so she could get a good grade on her Spanish exam.

Her friend Maria told her that she could find the stress of words in the mystical land of Spanish Énfasis found in the under tunnels of UNK near Thomas Hall. Natalia knew this was illegal but she was willing to take the risk for that good grade.

Just find the glitter doorway

She snuck in through a basement window of Otto Olsen and found a doorway bordered with glitter and smelled of roses. She knew she found it.

She opened the door and found fluffy clouds with Spanish words floating in them. In the distance, she saw a man with a feathered cloak bolding parts of the words.

Natalia slowly walked up to him and said, “Excuse me?” The man was startled and asked in a Spanish accent, “What are you doing here?” Natalia responded, “I’m looking for help. I want to know how to find the stressed syllable in Spanish words so I can pass an exam.”

The man questioned,“Child, do you know who I am?”

“No, I can’t say I do.”Natalia said.

“I am Carlos the Stressed Syllable Keeper. I can help you find the stressed syllable with ease. But you must understand these three rules,” he explained.
