For all my eager pupils in the realm of "Algebra".

Once upon a time, in the hidden realm of Algebra, there were the Polynomials, six curious children of the Functions clan who roamed the land and discovered its bounties.
Chapter One:
The Polynomials
The humble Polynomial Children lived in a tiny cottage at the edge of Algebra, which to them was the edge of the world. Or so they thought, for the world seemed to be a very large place in contrast to their tiny abode.
The youngest, who was quite a lone ranger, was rarely ever seen. His name was Constant, because he was constantly...well.......alone.
The second, was a proud little girl. The villagers called her 'Linear' for she saw everything as it was, without bias or passion. As straight and narrow as a line.
The third was Quadratic, not as static as Linear. She had two sides......sometimes she was up and at other times she was down. Her emotions varied and changed like the weather. Yet still, she was beloved by her siblings.
Cubic, the sister of Constant, Linear and Quadratic was quite a triple person. She had three pets, three braids and she wanted to visit three castles.
One day, the two boys in the family, Quartic (the rather square of the two) and Quintic (his older brother by five years), heard their four siblings planning a trip to a far away land and decided to join them. So they all started out on their journey to the Three Great Castles.
