April 24, 2016-Dear Diary, my name is Billy and I will be writing in you to track my journey for the next few months as I travel around the world and through the water cycle. Today, I begin as a molecule of water in a tree. Soon, I will be ready to leave the tree and transpire into the atmosphere. If you don't know, transpiration is when water vapor leaves plants and goes into the air. Before I can leave, I have to be vaporized so that I can leave through the stomata in the tree's leaves.

(Later) April 24, 2016-Dear Diary, I have now entered the atmosphere and am on my way to Mexico. As I'm traveling along, I run into a piece of dust and become a circular droplet of water. As this happens, I now go through the condensation process; when water vapor becomes a liquid.

April 27, 2016-Dear Diary, I have now entered into Mexico. The humidity here is very strong, and it has caused me to start sticking to other water droplets. I can feel myself getting heavier and soon I will fall to earth as precipitation. Precipitation is when large water droplets fall to earth as rain, sleet, snow, hail, etc.

April 29, 2016- Dear Diary, yesterday, I finally made it to the ground! I am enjoying Mexico as a droplet in a puddle. I overheard someone talking about the weather, and supposedly, it is going to get hotter within the next couple of weeks. As it gets hotter, I will start to evaporate back into the atmosphere. Evaporation is the process when liquid water becomes water vapor and enters the atmosphere. My next destination is the mountains in Alaska.

May 15, 2016- Dear Diary, two days ago, I arrived in Alaska and I am currently waiting for it to snow. I am hoping to touch down within the next couple of days.
