Trains to Texas with Sammy the Cowboy

In the 1800s Texas had bad roads and shallow rivers which made it really hard to travel.

Sammy the Cowboy was sad because he couldn't visit his family who also lived in Texas.

In 1836, the president of the Republic of Texas, Sam Houston, worked to make a railroad system called Texas Rail Road, Navigation, and Banking Company

Unfortunately the system failed in 1838 because it was weak and wasn't liked by the people.
