Meet Rory. She just moved to the U.S.

She just turned 18 and thinks it's time to become a citizen of the United States.

Since she wasn't born here, she is going to go through the process of naturalization. Here's how:

The requirement are that she has to be 18, a resident of the U.S. for 5 years, speak English, and have a love for her country to take the oath of allegiance.

Hey! Rory is back and she's officially a U.S. citizen! Congratulations! She took her civics test and took her oath of allegiance to earn her citizenship

So, what now?

Well, now Rory has to fulfill her responsibilities as a citizen.

Fortunately, it is election season. So, she has registered herself to vote and today is the day: voting as a citizen.

Good Job Rory! You just voted for your representative and got a sticker for doing so!

Things like voting, paying taxes, and attending jury duty are Rory's responsibilities as a citizen now. Every responsible citizen must do these too.
