Before we had iphones and Ipads. Or even video game devices to play on we had to go a long way too reach these advancements. But the start too all of the tech advantages in America really took off in the early 1800s.

The first big advancements came with the industrial revolution. This was when a bunch of inventors and people who joined together and created new and exciting tech.

In the 1800s roadways and railroads were built to help transportation of goods in trade. These goods contained fruits, and meats, metals and a variety of other things! They built railroads for a new invention labeled a coal train. The train was built on specially designed roads with tracks to help the train move along.

That's one great way of travel! but here's another, SteamBoats and canals are another way of travel and trade. These boats are made for the water and canals are water roadways boats can travel on!

This also began the revolution of factories, factories opened more jobs and places too work in inner cities. This worked so more parents could have a bit more money working jobs and supporting their family.
