Inspired by chicken soup for the soul

Short story 1:
Kittens for sale
"Kittens for sale." the sign outside the shopkeeper's window said.
A little girl came in excited, and asked to see them.
The shopkeeper led the little girl into the store. "The kittens are 30 dollars."
The little girl looked into her pocket, she had 4 dollars and thirty cents.

The kittens were slowly slowly led out of the cages from the back of the store by the store owner.
They pranced around, all looking lively until the girl spotted one kitten acting differently.
However, there was one kitten that limped out. It had a leg that was stumpy but it still jumped around. The little girl looked and pointed to that kitten "I want that one." She handed all the money she had on her.
The shopkeeper frowned. "You don't need to pay for this kitten, it does not have a leg."

The girl looked angrily at the shop keeper.
"Yes he can thanks but I'll pay for him, there's nothing wrong with him."
She pulled up her dress, where you could see the stump of her leg.
She gave the shopkeeper the small amount of money she had.
She took the kitten, and she left the store smiling.
