THAILAND TRIP

Mr Johnson, an inspiring engineer in JS Tan Engineering had just been promoted to the position of senior engineer in his company. As a reward for his hard work, he was offered a travelling trip to Thailand with his wife.

Upon reaching Thailand, they checked into the hotel. When they were at the lobby, Mrs Johnson noticed that the registration clerk and the porter observed her in an unusual way. However, she was too thrilled for the trip as to think much of others. They went into their room and unpacked their things. They also put away all the valuables in the safety box. Then both started embarking on the journey to explore the beauty of Thailand including the renowned Nahm which served the most delectable Thai cuisine.

Upon midnight, they chatted happily on the way back. As both reached the doorstep to their room, Mrs Johnson sensed something had gone wrong. The door was abruptly open. The briefcases were opened and things were scattered on the floor. Mrs Johnson rushed to the safety box just in time to find out that it was forced open. The valuable things including the Rolex and the gold necklace with her precious heart shaped pendant went missing.

Reports to the local police was made but nothing could be done to retrieve the valuables.Both Mr and Mrs Johnson were so distressed that they immediately checked out from the hotel and flew back to Malaysia on the same day.

This is a holiday which went wrong for both Mr and Mrs Johnson. They have learnt a tough lesson. When travelling far,do not wear too many expensive accessories. This can avoid unnecessary trouble as the glitters will draw people's attention. Keep a low profile and try not to be noticed. Prevention is better than cure.
