One sunny afternoon, a rare three-headed dragon was discovered in Airen Forest. They were named Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.

Their names were Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. They were named after the different types of radiation, due to their personalities.

Alpha was shy, and was the nicest dragon. She didn't like to breath fire very much. Beta was the average dragon, he breathed fire every so often. Gamma was a mean dragon, he terrorized the villiage.

At school they learned about fission and fusion. They resemble fusion, because they are like different particles combining together, whereas fission is particles breaking apart.

As Alpha, Beta, and Gamma grew older they become so interested in what they were named after that they become teachers of the subject of nuclear radiation.

Monitoring
Nuclear
Exposure

The first thing they taught was the importance of monitoring nuclear exposure. Much like Gamma the dragon, Gamma Radiation can be very dangerous, so it's important to protect yourself.

Nuclear Energy, How does it work?

Remember fission and fussion? Nuclear energy comes from fission, or the process of particles breaking apart. This process generates heat, which then generates energy.

Where are Nuclear Energy plants located?

The first plant is called Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1, located in Russellville, AR. Another one is called South Texas Project, Unit 2, located in Bay City, TX.
