Our friend bond meets a new Friend! His friend is named ion. Ion has some cool characteristics. He has high melting points and is brittle. he is also a very poor conductor of heat in a solid state.

On this day the sun was out. Bond needed to go home until he encountered a new friend. Her name is Covalent. Bond thinks it is cool that she has low melting and boiling points. He is happy he met her.
Bond just learned a very important lesson. He learns that not everyone is the same. Some people are polar, while some are non-polar. Polar people are more ionic and electronegative, while non-polar people have the electronegatives that both atoms equal.
Today Bond was going swimming when he bumped into someone who taught him of the Octet Rule. This is a rule of when atoms that have a low atomic number want to combine with other atoms to get more electrons, 8 preferably. Also, Hydrogen, Boron, and Beryllium don't need 8 electrons.

On his way home, Bond learned about something fascinating. A Lewis dot structure. Its a way to show how atoms bond. A single line is a single bond, a double is a double bond, etc. The circles represent a lone pair
Intermolecular Forces. Yep, intermolecular forces. The forces of attraction between molecules is known as intermolecular forces. There are 3 main types. Dipole-dipole, hydrogen bonding, and london dispersion forces
