This forest will soon be gone because the humans

keep growing.

They're an unstoppable force and so we must travel.

We live in Madagascar, an island near the coast of Southeast Africa. Back in the day it used to be a great land, but has started to fall apart because of erosion and deforestation.

We started traveling north when we were intercepted by a fossa named Nigel. He said, "Go no farther! The humans are coming from the north! It is south you must go! You must make it to safety, if you see a small house you'll know you're there."

Sure enough Nigel was right. We started going south and saw hunters coming from the North with guns and traps. A couple even chased after us, but we were faster.

We started to make our way through the jungle, but there was something strange about walking through it this time. There weren't many trees or waterways anymore.

What was once a lowland tropical forest, had now been transformed into homes for the humans and hunters. An entire 1/3 of the forest, OUR habitats, had been wiped out.

We had to keep moving, we had to make it South. We finally reached a point for food, for we hadn't eaten all day. We found a small shack and something smelled good inside.
