The Israelites were on their journey from

The Israelites spoke against God and Moses.
They complained and wondered "Why has Hashem brought us out of Egypt to die in the desert. There is no bread or water and our stomachs are filled up with rotten Mana!"
God sent the Israelites venomous snakes as their punishment for complaining,
The snakes bit the people and many of them died
PLEASE Moshe, ask G-d to take away the snakes!
Forgive us G-d for we have sinned!!
The Israelites went to Moses and confessed to sinning and speaking against God and Moses. They asked Moses to pray to God to remove the snakes from them. Moses prayed on behalf of the people
Moses prayed on behalf of the people, and God forgave the Israelites.
Make a copper snake and put it on a pole. When one of our people gets bitten and they look at the snake then they will live.
