The Plant Cycle
Flowers, trees, bushes, fruits and vegetables, all plants of all kinds have to start their lives as a small seed and eventually die. In between the plants life, different stages occur as main points of the growth. When a plant is seeded, it germinates and grow until it is a sprouted plant. Over time, the plant flower, produces a type of fruit, releases its seed, and die. This is called the Plant Cycle.

When a seed is planted into the ground, it begins its life cycle by germinating, with the help of the warmth of the soil, water, and for some seeds, light. Seeds from different kinds of plants have different needs when regarding water, light, and moisture. This is why some plants grow seasonally and not year round.
During germinating, the seed grows roots to hold onto the soil and a stem to sprout through the soil and soon to a flower.

For the small sprouts to grow and eventually flower, they must produce their own food through the process of photosynthesis. This process begins as soon as the plant grows leaves, which convert energy from the sun into sugar the plant uses as food. This sugar is stored in the roots and stems, allowing new plant growth. During this stage, water and nutrients are also being absorbed by the plants growing root hairs. New and hungry leaves grow from the top of the stem, further growing the plant and soon producing the fruit or bud.

Eventually, a tree branch falls, a flower buds, or a plant grows its fruits and vegetables filled with seeds, and an opportunity for the plant to pollinate and spread occurs.

The final stage of the plant cycle is the spreading of seeds. There are a few ways this is able to happen. Dandelion seeds, for instances, are spread through gusts of wind. Other flowers, such as daisies and roses, have bees and dragonflies to take them to brand new locations. Community gardens are another simple way plants are able to grow in new places. Finally, when the seed finds itself in the soil, the plant cycle begins again.
