ORIGIN:Christianity developed out of Judaism in the 1st century C.E. It is founded on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and those who follow him are called "Christians." Christianity has many different branches and forms with accompanying variety in beliefs and practices. Also the story of Abraham,Moses and the 10 Commandments in the Old testament .

The three major branches of Christianity are Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Protestantism, with numerous subcategories within each of these branches. Until the latter part of the 20th century, most adherents of Christianity were in the West, though it has spread to every continent and is now the largest religion in the world.

MAJOR BELIEFS:
That the following beliefs of Christianity have been brought down through the ages as follows:
-The Bible .
-There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Also they have to follow the 10 Commandments that God gave to Moses in order be a good follower .

-Christians believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal, future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
-The blessed hope in the rapture of the Church at Christ's coming. The Church is all who believe in Jesus as their Savior.

-The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith . The Christian can live a holy life.
-They believe after they die they will have a Day of Judgment that will let you go to heaven or hell based in how did you lived your life.
-They believe in water baptism by immersion. And the other 6 sacraments that are Confirmation,Eucharist,
Reconciliation,Anointing of the sick,Holy Orders and Marriage.
-The baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to all believers at the moment of salvation which means. God desires them to have a personal relationship with Him and through His Holy Spirit,and communicate with Him.
