Once there was a girl named Astrid. Her mother took her to a roller derby game. She loved it so much that she asked her mom to sign her up for the junior roller derby camp that was starting in summer.

Then she realized that her best friend, Nicole wasn't going to camp. Astrid was very disappointed.

Summer finally came, and Astrid went to roller derby camp by herself. When she got there, she met a girl named Zoey. They became friends.

Everyone at camp was a much better skater than Astrid. She thought that she wasn't very good at skating because she hadn't had much time to practice.

One day, the coach announced that there was going to be a roller derby game in a few weeks. Astrid wanted to be a jammer in the game. The jammer was the player who scored the points.

Astrid practiced and practiced as much as she could for the game so that she could be one of the jammers.
