Christianity started about 2000 years ago in the first century. It originated in Israel and was started by Jesus Christ.

This religion is practiced all over the world. It is the majority religion in some countries of the world and can be found in parts of Africa and Asia.

Christians come together to worship God in churches. Going to church is considered a tradition of Christianity. Sunday, which is believed to be the Lord's day, is seen as a day of rest and worship. Christmas is another day of worship for Christians which is held every year on December 25th.

Christians believe in God the father, Jesus Christ as the son of God and the Holy Spirit. They also believe in a day of judgement where people are either sent to Heaven or Hell.

The holy book for Christians is the Bible. It is broken up into the Old and New Testaments. One of the things that it teaches is that God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to restore the broken relationship between people and God.

Some important figures of Christianity are Jesus Christ, God and The Virgin Mary. Jesus was the son of God. God was the father of Jesus. The Virgin Mary was the person who gave birth to Jesus.
