This story is a creation myth that explains the world.

One sunny morning, Cricket woke to an intoxicating song. Mesmerized by it's beauty, he exclaimed, "I must find the source at once!"

Cricket searched for a moment or two, getting rather impatient. To his surprise, Cricket heard a melodic chirping from above.

Atop a high branch was a song bird, chirping and whistling an innate tune. "Oh Bird, why do you sing?" Cricket questioned.

Bird flew down to get closer to Cricket, "Doesn't everyone?" she asked. Cricket was unsure, but explained to her,"I haven't uttered more than a hum."

"What's the matter with you?" Bird scoffed. "I'm afraid nothing's the matter, you see," cricket hesitated, "this is just how I'm created.

"I know how to fix this!" Bird exclaimed, "that is, if you would like to be able to make music like me." Cricket was overjoyed, "Yes! I want to sound like you!"

Bird took two tassels out of what seemed like thin air, "Put these on your legs and tomorrow you will be able to chirp like a bird." Cricket thanked Bird and rushed home.
