October 29th

It was a pretty normal day, The crisp leaves falling from the trees in assortments of autumn colors. The morning was chilly with the crisp breeze.  Lindsey and I  had been best friends since the 1st grade. Lindsey, is my best friend, a bright and bubbly girl. Since the October Gust was kicking in we decided to stay in and watch some movies. It was a few days until Halloween night, we had to prepare. The hours of the clock ticking away as we searched for ideas until finally we came across an old movie case. It just so happened to be the movie, ¨”Child's Play¨

¨I mean I can't pull off the overalls, so why not be his wife¨ I said to Lindsey.

¨Great idea April, It goes with your blonde hair¨ Lindsay replied

I pulled out an old white dress, combat boots and my mom's old leather jacket. I went to hang some chains off the boots and my mom's leather jacket. I Grabbed my necklace which was a black choker necklace and some dark makeup. Just because it's October I pulled out an old pair of stockings from an old concert I was forced to go to in the 8th grade.

It was now 5am, the clock raced through the nightly hours,Our ideas were now clear as of how we wanted our halloween night to go. We ended up falling asleep at about 5:30am right as the sun began to rise, the fluorescent pink sun filling the sky as it came off the horizon.

I woke up the next morning to the tree tapping my window like a madman. As the strong breeze blew the leaves across the grass into the streets. Lindsey was awoken by my dog jumping on my bed trying to cover up because she just so happens to be a big baby. Lindsey and I walked downstairs to talk to my mother. As we walked down the steps the aroma of bacon and eggs filled the air.

¨Mom can we go to the asylum tomorrow night?¨ I asked

¨absolutely not girls, do you even know what happens there?¨ Mom replied confused

¨Why can't we explore, nothing will happen mom¨ I replied with an angry tone.

¨Because Hun, weird things happen there, research the Meadowbrook asylum from the 1900ś and maybe before. Thousands of people have died there back then, Your not going and that is final” Mom replied sounding shaky.

¨Fine then i'm staying with Lindsey for the weekend!¨ I replied annoyed.

¨Fine!¨ Mom said stomping away like an elephant.

We walked upstairs to grab our things, stuffed them into our bags, as I turned to look at Lindsey, ¨Your parents are outta town for the weekend right?¨ I asked smirking.

¨Yes, They are out of town for the week. Should we Invite Preston, That way we have somebody with us, plus he drives and just in case something happens he will give us some sort of protection¨  Lindsey replied.

I picked up my phone and called Preston, my high school friend, as I explained our plan and asked if he wanted to join, He said he was on his way, So we should grab our things and be ready outside. When he arrived he pulled in, and we got in and drove off.  When we finally arrived at Lindseyś and we set our things down and began digging through her horror movies to set the mood for tomorrow night. We dug through her movies found childs play, mama and a few others and decided to put in Child's play, we all layed on the couch, preston stayed with us so we weren't alone. He planned to stay tomorrow night as well, We continued our movies until everybody fell asleep.

October 31st

I was awoken by somebody yelling April. As soon as I opened my eyes, Preston was staring in my eyes telling me we were going to a Halloween morning breakfast. Lindsey was already digging through her clothes, I grabbed my bag and threw on some ripped jeans and an aeropostale t-shirt with a black hoodie. We through our sneakers on and went to Ihop. They had a special for green eggs and ham, but I decided to get some bacon and some crepes with strawberries on top, The strawberry juice was colored darker to look more like Halloween spirit.  After breakfast we thanked Preston and went back to Lindsay's. The rest of the day was wasted on Horror movies. Until Finally it was Dark enough to head out.  We Put on our costumes and were out the door to Meadow-brook asylum.

¨It's been abandoned for 35 years guys¨ I said to Lindsay and Preston.

When we finally arrived, we headed in through the back door as we turned our flashlights on our phones as we began walking around. We found ourselves walking into what looked like an old hospital room. The Grey chairs in the corner of the room, slowly rotting away, a hospital bed filled with what looked like dead bugs. On the other side of the room was a few cabinets. I slowly crept over to them as I opened one of them I was startled back when a Mouse Screeched, we decided to walk out of the room.

Lindsey was breathing heavily as we began to walk further down the long hallway, paintings fallen, tilted, torn all the way down the hallway. Suddenly the Loudspeaker kicks on With a screeching noise.
