The basis of this story is the interactions between the Native Americans, and the Europeans.

Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there lived a family of crocodiles. These crocodiles had lived in peace for many years, until one day...
Argh! A group of pirates decided to travel to a new land, the land of the crocodiles.
“Ahoy! Land ho!” said the Captain.
“It looks like no one lives on this land,” said the First Mate.
The pirates docked their ship on the beach, and decided to explore. Little did they know, they were being watched. The crocodiles were curious to know what the pirates were doing on their land.
After exploring for some time with help from their treasure map, the pirates found a large ‘X’ on the ground. They decided to dig.
After a small time of digging, they hit something with a ‘thud’.
They all worked together and pulled a large treasure chest out of the dirt. Before they could open it, they heard rustling in the forest. The Chief Crocodile popped out from behind a palm tree.
“What do you think you’re doing?” The Chief Crocodile asked as he walked up to the Captain.
“Argh! We found this treasure in the dirt and we’re taking it with us.” The Captain replied, and he and his crew began to walk back towards their ship.
Before they could leave, they were stopped by the Chief crocodile again.
“That treasure is ours, it was on our land, so you can’t have it.” He stated angrily. “Give us back our treasure and get off our land.”
The pirate crew and the crocodile family argued for a while, before something amazing happened. The Chief picked up the bottom of the chest and tried to walk away but the Captain grabbed the top before he could leave. They each pulled on the their side of the chest, trying to get the chest for their own, when suddenly…
POP! The top of the chest popped open, and the treasure inside came flying out. When the pirates and the crocodiles saw what was inside, they stopped in their tracks.
“Wowie!” The baby crocodile yelled in excitement. On the ground in front of him was a small stuffed alligator, perfectly sized for a baby crocodile.
