To our history class

One day after school, Timothy was struggling on his social studies homework. He had to write a letter about the Bill of Rights. If only Timothy would of listened in class, he wouldn't be struggling!

Hello Timothy!
Uhhhh Hi James Madison?
After hours of struggling, Timothy got a visit from James Madison the author of the Bill of Rights!
James Madison told Tim that he was going to take him back in time and teach Tim about the Bill of Rights!

This is where I'll teach you about the 1st Amendment.
Timothy and Madison arrived at their 1st destination. James Madison said, "The 1st Amendment states that the people's freedoms such as religion, speech, petition, assembly and press are protected. This is why I took you to a newspaper because the 1st amendment meant that people could publish anything in the newspaper without fear!"

This is where I will teach you about the second amendment.
Timothy and James arrived at their second destination. James said, "The 2nd amendment stated that we could have a well armed militia and that the government was not allowed to take away this right!"

This is where I'll teach you about the 3rd amendment!
Timothy and James Madison then arrived at their 3rd location. "We are at a house because the 3rd amendment states that the government cannot force citizens to house or feed soldiers" said James Madison.

This is where I will teach you about the 4th amendment.
When they arrived at their 4th location James said, "The 4th amendment says that in order to search someone's home, a warrant is needed"

This is where I will teach you about the 5th amendment.
Timothy and James Madison arrived at their 5th location. "We are at a court because the 5th amendment says that a person doesn't have to answer questions from an officer without a lawyer. It also says that property can be taken but only for a fair price" says James.

This is where I will teach you about the 6th amendment.
James decided that he would stay at the court to teach Timothy about the 6th amendment. He said, "We are at the court again because the 5th amendment promises a speedy trial"
