Herbert Hoover worked with business and labor leaders, He strived to achieve voluntary advancements and Influenced others to Stop fighting, Although Hoovers stock market and trickle down economic theory failed to help those in need his project on the Colorado River To Create A Dam helped many unemployment citizens since the project was a public work. Giving a better impact on the Great Depression.





Speculation

During the Stock Market Crash, Many poured into the stock speculation, causing others to spend money they didn't have. With many investors facing economic devastation.


When the stock market dropped, investors started selling again. On October 29th however, the stock market fell completely. Billions of dollars were lost and citizens who had bought the stock margin lost everything. This had another negative affect on the Great Depression.
Black Tuesday


During the great depression, a lot of banks collapsed. Which limited the money supply and discouraged lending. As a result, the banks were later on cleaned out of money and forced to close businesses that soon caused more unemployment and checks cut short.
Great Depression


Congress had passed a certain law that raised prices on foreign imports to such a level they could not compete in the American market, Tariff inspired Europeans to retaliate and Enact protective tariffs of their own. Causing more expenses and more of the homeless weren't able to buy anything.

Bread Line
The bread line was made for those who had short wages or cuts. The bread line those in need that needed food in the great depression giving a positive outcome.



















Many homeless people grouped together in makeshift, Shady Towns of tents and shacks built on public lands or vacant lots. Known as hoovervilles. This was a improvement on the great depression, Although it was a dark period others came together to help each other causing citizens to unite during the great depression.

During the great depression water was a constant problem in the region. In the great plains water dried up and the winds picked up towering dust storms that blew east , the dust storms moved at 100 miles per hour. The dust storms towered over house and would also harm people making them blind and unable to see.
Dust Bowl


Farmers would have often worked for bigger land owners rather than themselves, these were known as tenant famers . However, those who worked for others made little money on the wages their boss gave them.

Okies
When the dust bowl past, their were few survivors who packed into Rickety trucks and left the region. Some headed to California and others headed to Oregon. These survivors were known as Okies. When they left their home town to look for jobs that were promised in the following states, some were left empty handed with unfulfilled jobs.
