Edgar the elephant was a sad elephant. All throughout the school day, people called him ugly. That made Edgar sad.But Edgar had very nice parents, they told him to stay strong and helped him get through the school day.

That night, Edgar went home from school and cried to his mom. His mom told him "Edgar your are beautiful just the way you are", and made him feel important.

Before school the next morning, Edgar's mom gave Edgar a note saying that he is beautiful just the way he is and he should be proud to be himself.

All throughout school Edgar looked at the note and it made him feel handsome and proud. When someone tried to bully Edgar, he would look at them and say " I am beautiful just the way I am" and walk away.

Edgar's confidence grew and grew and the other kids stopped teasing him and became his friend! They told Edgar that the only reason they teased him is because they thought they were ugly themselves, and Edgar said "you are all beautiful just the way you are!"
