This is a plane that can shrink and go inside of people. Let's see what we find today!

We are starting with the digestive system! The digestive system starts in the mouth. When you eat food your teeth and saliva start to break down the food.

Then your food goes to the esophagus. This is how your food gets from your mouth to your stomach!
After the esophagus, your food goes to your stomach. In your stomach, your body uses chemicals to break down the food you eat.

Then your food moves the squiggly tube like structure called the small intestines. This is where your body gets the nutrients from the food you eat!

Then, your food goes to your large intestine. This is where your body gets the water from your food.
Did you know there are also some organs in the digestive system that do not touch the food you eat? Let's go look at them!

This is the liver. It produces a substance called bile. Bile helps break down the food you eat.

This is called the pancreas. it makes a chemical called insulin for the body to use.

Wow! The digestive system breaks down the food you eat and takes the nutrients it needs from it.
Let's move on to the next body system!

This is the muscular system. This system helps you move! Let's take a closer look.

This is cardiac muscles. This is the muscle in your heart that helps you pump blood.

This is called smooth muscle. This muscle is what our body uses to do things automatically.

This is skeletal muscle. This is the muscle you use when you do things like lifting a box.

This is a tendon. It connects your muscle to your bone to allow you to move!

Wow! There is so much to discover in the body! Let's keep going!

Now, we are going to the respiratory system! This is the system that lets you breath in oxygen and breath out carbon dioxide.

First, the air goes in through air passages. These are channels like your nose or mouth. They take in air for the body to use.
Then, the air goes to your lungs. The lungs take in the oxygen you breath in and releases the carbon dioxide you breath out

These are called aveoli. They are small sacs in the lungs. This is where gas exchange takes place.

Wow! The respiratory system is so cool! Let's see what else we can find!
Let's move on to the next system!

Now, we are heading to the integumentary system! The integumentary system is all about your skin! It is like a barrier to protect your body

Your skin is your first line of defense. Everyday it helps protect you! What would you do without it? Did you know your skin is the largest organ in your body?

Another part of this system is your hair.It helps protect your head. Your hair also helps regulate your body temperature. Not to mention it gives you style!

Your nails protect your fingertips from dangerous debris and harm. Without nails it would be very easy to hurt your fingers! Good thing we have them!

The next system is the immune system! The immune system fights off unknown intruders, that could damage the body, or make you sick.

These white structures are called white blood cells. White blood cells are what fight off diseases that can make you sick.

These are called antibodies. Antibodies are proteins that are made to destroy the things that can make you sick!
Did you know lymph nodes remove bad organisms from your blood?

Wow! Our body systems are so cool! Let's see what else we can find.

This is the nervous system! This system controls your senses and reflexes. In this system, your body parts can communicate! That is how you can respond to feeling!

Your brain is one of the most important organs in your whole body! It controls your entire body, including sensory organs.
Did you know spinal cord connects the peripheral nervous system to the brain? This is how information is taken to the brain!

Nerves are bundles of fiber that send sensations to the brain. Did you know that neurons are cells that process and send information?

Next is the excretory system! Your excretory system is what lets you go to the bathroom. You need some way to get rid of your wastes after all!

Your kidneys filter your blood, removing your wastes and extra water. This is what supplies your urine!

Your ureters connect your kidneys to your bladder. Without ureters you wouldn't be able go to the bathroom! No urine would ever get to your bladder!

The bladder is where your urine is stored. This is where it is prepared to be taken out of your body. Did you know your skin is a part of this system too? It gets rid of waste when you sweat!

Your urethra connects your bladder to your part that will get rid of the urine.

Lets move on to the next system!

The next system is the circulatory system! The circulatory system is responsible for moving important materials around your body through your blood.
As you may know, the heart is extremely important to your body! It is responsible for pumping blood through your body. Without it you couldn't survive!

You have blood all throughout your body! It is what transports all materials including important nutrients throughout your body!

These are blood vessels. Your blood vessels are what transport your blood around your body!

Now let's talk about the skeletal system. We need the skeletal system because it provides structure and protects the organs in our body.

These are bones. They are a structure in your body that supports your body.
