Our Solar system is a huge place with lots of planets and objects that orbit around the sun, which is in the center of the Solar System.

But where did all of this come from? It couldn't have just magically appeared. To find out more you'll have to keep reading.

It all Started 4.6 billion years ago in a cloud of stellar dust. This little cloud was part of an even bigger cloud called a Nebula.

One day the cloud collapsed on top of its self. and left a disk of material surrounding it. It probably collapsed from the shock of a near by explosion.

The Pressure from the material became so strong that it forced the hydrogen atoms to fuse into helium. The sun was created.

It took up more than ninety eight percent of the solar system. However some the material from the disk was left over.

The Suns gravity pulled some of the excess material causing it to clump together. Eventually more and more objects collided that it formed planets and dwarf planets.

The Rocky Planets were formed closer to the Sun because they can handle the heat.

The Gas Giants with core made of ice and gas formed further away from the sun where it was cooler.
